Refreshed and Looking Good

Update on our Reurbishment

After months of uncertainty, we’re determined to come back refreshed. That’s why, before we open up again on Tuesday 16th June, we’ll have made some revitalising changes to the inside of the store that we’re delighted to share with you.

We want to be lighter, brighter and more intriguing than ever. A goal during this refurbishment has been striving to stage our displays in an environment that gives you an accurate image of how they’ll look in your own home. The aim is to re-energise with an appropriate, homely and Scandinavian feel that sharpens our focus on design and frames our products in a relevant light, to the benefit of staff and customers. Environment is essential to us and we felt it was time for a change.

Some of these changes have been simple! A new lick of paint, inside and out, has already illuminated and reanimated the entire store on all sides, while our floor is in the process of being replaced with a sleek, modern and homely wood effect Mandarin Stone tiles. The culmination of these uncomplicated but significant changes add up to evoke a larger, more accommodating space.

As a a family run, independent business ourselves, we understand the value in supporting local traders and E&R Meakes are making beautiful, metal tables to ensure our products have more accessibility and complement the rest of the shop. These will be part of a reshuffle in regards layout and create a more convenient and hospitable format for displays.

Our work station and till are also being remade and redesigned with birch ply and a black granite worktop from StoneTech1. Practicality has also been taken into consideration, with added drawers and compartments to help with efficiency.

Our aim is to provide our staff and you with a refreshed, reinvigorated and unique experience when shopping with us. These fundamental changes feel like a natural evolution and have come at just the right time.
