So you’ve just received a beautiful bouquet gift, but you’re not sure how to care for your flowers and you want them to last for as long as possible. Your gift has been created by our in-house florists, we take care to ensure your flowers arrive looking their best, but to make your blooms last, follow these simple instructions:
1. Remove All Packaging
Carefully remove all packaging but be wary not to cut the raffia keeping your bouquet’s beautiful form. You can use scissors to cut away excess packaging. You my remove the string once your flowers are potted in your chosen vase, but make sure your vase holds the form of your bouquet.
Trim a little off each stem at an angle with a sharp knife or secateurs so your flowers can easily take up water after their journey. By trimming the stems on an angle, it widens the surface area of the stem, giving it a larger space in which to absorb water from.
3. Fill Your Vase
Make sure your chosen vase is clean. Half fill your bucket or vase with fresh water. Remove any leaves that are below the waterline in your vase.
4. Feed Your Flowers
Add the special flower food supplied with your flowers. Check the water every couple of days – some flowers are really thirsty! Top up your water when needed, and we recommend cutting your stems around every three days.
5. Enjoy Your Gift!
Don’t forget to enjoy your beautiful Flower Studio Gift.
